The Warwood Wildland Hoe is a forged 1060 American steel field tool built for brush clearing, fire line construction, trail maintenance and demanding land management.

The Warwood Wildland Hoe is built for the kind of outdoor work ordinary yard tools are not made to handle.

Designed for wildland fire crews, trail builders, land managers, conservation crews, public works teams and rural property owners, this tool is made for cutting roots, grubbing soil, clearing overgrowth and working through hard ground.

The head is forged from 1060 American steel and heat-treated for durability and edge retention. Three sharpened working edges provide multiple cutting and scraping surfaces without requiring users to switch tools in the field.

The working end measures 5.25" blade x 5.75" long and is made from 3/16" steel thickness, also commonly referred to as 7 gauge steel.

Choose Your Handle Length

The Wildland Hoe is available in two handle-length variants:

47" American Ash Handle

A more compact option that is easier to transport, maneuver and store. Its shorter length also allows it to ship at a much lower cost.

60" American Ash Handle

Provides additional reach and leverage for extended use in rough terrain, along trails and during fire line construction.

Shipping note: The 60" handle is subject to additional carrier length surcharges. Customers looking for the lowest shipping cost should select the 47" version.

The locking-bolt head system is designed for field serviceability, allowing the tool to be broken down, maintained or repaired without sending it back to the shop.

“Been using this tool for chopping, hoeing and removing turf, works great, the heavy duty leather sheaths will keep the blades sharp while not being used and also for safety.”

“As of this moment, the shipping was fast, packing was very good, and the axe seems to be of excellent quality. Axe head was hung well. It costs more, but once again it seems the right move.”
