A blacksmith and metalworker’s tool designed to cleanly knock out bolts, rivets and pins, the Backing Out Punch is distinguished by a perfectly round punch end with a cylindrical, non-tapered shaft. Punches and pins meant for aligning parts, in contrast, are tapered. Opposite the punch end, a beveled face is meant to be struck with another hammer.
The Warwood Tool Backing Out Punch is made in five diameters and is available with your choice of 16” American hickory or fiberglass handles. Hand-forged from premium, high-carbon U.S. steel and 100% made in the USA, Warwood tools represent a tradition of excellence reaching back over 170 years.
