Our Blunt End Chisel Slate Bar combines a bent chisel at one end for loosening, prying and lifting heavy objects (like slabs of the tool’s namesake slate), with a blunt face at the other for striking, breaking and tamping. A big 6-foot length delivers massive leverage, while a hefty 17 lb. weight offers exceptional striking power and a beefy 1” hex cross section provides a firm grip. Forged from premium American steel by U.S. labor in our West Virginia shop, the Blunt End Chisel Slate Bar embodies Warwood’s 170-year tool making tradition.
