Wood Splitting Wedge
Wood Splitting Wedge
Splitting wedges are designed primarily to make short work of splitting logs for firewood but can also be used for a variety of other applications. The wedge is “set” in the log and then struck with a sledge or maul to split the piece.
Unlike most commercially available splitting wedges, which are available in a single size (usually 5 lbs.), the Warwood Square Head Wood Splitting Wedge is available in five different sizes from 3 lbs. to 8 lbs. for different woods types, log sizes and users. A stout, beveled edge can withstand any abuse you can dish out or can be ground finer as needed to set easily.
A chamfered head resists mushrooming from repeated strikes, and premium U.S. steel delivers a lifetime of service. Every Warwood tool is proudly made in the U.S. by hard-working Americans — just like it has been since 1854.
